What is PhotoFacial?
Photofacial is a series of intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatments that have the goal of improving the appearance of the skin, especially signs of ageing. Photofacial is used in the treatment of age spots, photo aging. Rosacea, flushing, broken capillaries, and sun damaged skin; the treatment is also performed to improve the appearance of mild acne scars, to correct dark circles around the eyes, to reduce large pores, and to reduces fine facial lines. Treatments are especially effective for improving the appearance of the face, neck, chest, and hands.
Photo-facial laser treatment can be combined with light facial peels to enhance and boost the results.
Who is an Ideal Candidates?
With our new, more advanced and powerful platform, we can now provide more effective and comfortable PhotoFacial treatment for a number of skin conditions, including:
- sun damage and sun spots
- wide areas of pigmentation on the face, chest, arms and backs of the hands
- small, individual pigmented areas (also known as age spots)
- rosacea, inflammation and redness to the cheeks and face
- broken or thread veins
- skin tightening
Who is Not a Good Candidate?
People with tanned or naturally dark skin sometimes experience changes in skin pigmentation after PhotoFacial treatment, for example, theymay wish to discuss possible side effects with a dermatologist before opting for this procedure. Also we do not treat who is pregnant or breastfeeding.
Risks and Safety
PhotoFacial involves relatively little discomfort and no downtime. Unlike many laser techniques, the procedure is nonablative, meaning no skin is removed during treatment. This contributes to the relatively easy recovery and low risk associated with the PhotoFacial, while allowing patients to return to their everyday routine immediately.
